Whether you're using a social wall for a live event, website, or digital signage, Walls.io makes it easy for you to display your social wall.

Jump to:

Website Widget

With a simple copy/paste of an auto-generated code, you can embed the wall as a website widget to offer up fresh, dynamic content to your site.

After you've set up your wall in the previous Quick Start Guide steps, head over to the Embed & Display tab.

Use the dropdown lists in Box A to adjust the settings of your widget. Any changes made to these settings will automatically translate to the code snippet in Box B. This is the case for both the JavaScript and iFrame embed snippets.

Click on the Advanced Settings button (labelled 1) to show more options.

💡 Product tip: If you are using a JavaScript embed, we recommend that you enable lazy loading and use the default of 1 screen page loading time. This is especially helpful to ensure that the performance of your web page is not affected and SEO score still remains high.

Along with some tips for implementing a javascript code on your website, we also included some pre-made GDPR texts which can be easily copy/pasted as a disclaimer to your privacy policy.

A preview of your wall can be seen below the configuration tools:

Screen Display

To display your social wall on a large screen or projector at an event or on a monitor at the workplace, we recommend the following tips:

⭐️ The best way to connect to an external display is to mirror your device's screen

⭐️ If your device does not have mirroring capabilities, we recommend using an HDMI cable or something similar

⭐️ Please make sure your device has a stable internet connection. If you are unsure about the strength of your wifi signal, we recommend connecting to an ethernet cable

Once connected to your external display, access your wall from any of these highlighted locations in full screen mode:

Since Walls.io is following all relevant web-standards, many digital signage solutions support our widget out of the box by simply using our JavaScript/Iframe-embed code.

To make sure we can provide an experience that’s as smooth as possible, we have partnered with our favorite digital signage solutions.
