Echo supports sharing to a wide range of social media platforms. However, each platform has its own technical restrictions on what content can be shared and how it is displayed. These are limitations imposed by the platforms themselves and unfortunately cannot be changed or worked around by Echo.
Full sharing experience
The following platforms support the full Echo sharing experience, including your personalized sharing image and pre-populated sharing text:
Linkedin
X (Twitter)
Instagram
WhatsApp
Platforms with limitations
Facebook only supports sharing links — it does not allow pre-populating the sharing text. You will need to manually copy and paste your sharing text into the Facebook post. Your sharing link and clicks are still fully tracked.
Telegram, Email, SMS only support sharing text with a link. The personalized sharing image cannot be embedded in the shared message. Your sharing link and clicks are still fully tracked.
Click tracking
Regardless of platform limitations, Echo tracks clicks on your sharing link across all supported platforms. Even on platforms where image embedding or text pre-population is not available, your campaign analytics will still capture click data.
For this to work, all social media posts must contain the original Echo sharing link using our domain (e.g. https://echo.walls.io/cMot6G7). This link is what allows Echo to register clicks and attribute conversions to your campaign.
💡 Tip: Echo automatically appends the sharing link at the end of the social media post. You can also use the placeholder [LINK] to put it anywhere else in your sharing text!
On many platforms, this domain will automatically be shortened to a platform-specific short URL (e.g. "lnkd.in" on LinkedIn), so the full echo.walls.io URL will typically not be visible to your audience. If you replace the Echo sharing link with a different URL, click and conversion tracking will no longer work for that post.
