How to select "Manual" moderation

To choose the manual moderation option in Walls.io, go to the Moderation > Settings and select "Manual".

If you set your wall to “Manual”, you will need to approve all the posts before they are being published on your wall. That means you need to go back and approve every single post you want to be shown on your wall. In the case of extremely delicate events where you need to have absolute control over the content this can make sense though.

If you don't have a social wall yet, it's time to create one!

Have someone moderate your wall in real-time

If you're using the wall during an event, we recommend having a dedicated person with a laptop, tablet or phone constantly approving incoming posts. The Walls.io backend automatically refreshes with new content, so there is no need to refresh your browser manually.

Use the allow list feature

To make manual social wall moderation easier, Walls.io has an allow list feature. You can choose manual moderation for your wall, but at the same time make sure that posts containing specific keywords will be approved automatically. Just add the respective words to the allow list under moderation - settings.

Whitelisting users

In case you want to display posts by specific users without having to manually approve them, you can use a feature called whitelisting. Just go to moderation section in the settings of the Wall and click on "whitelist" under a respective post. Posts coming from that user will be displayed automatically moving forward.

Enable the post shuffle feature

If you go for manual moderation and you don't have the time to approve new posts very frequently, your wall will end up looking static. Nothing to worry about! If you enable “post shuffle”, Walls.io periodically re-posts already approved content from your wall to the top. To enable post shuffle, go to Settings > Behaviour.

In case you have further questions, don't hesitate to contact the support team via the chat or support@walls.io!
