Importing Visuals from Canva, Google Drive, and Dropbox

How to directly use visual assets from Canva, Google Drive and Dropbox in your Echo campaigns

Written by Michael Kamleitner

If your sharing visuals are designed in Canva or stored on Google Drive or Dropbox, you don't have to export them and upload them again in Echo. Connect your account once, and every design in your library is one click away inside the campaign editor.

Connecting your Canva, Google Drive or Canva account

The connection to these services live on your personal profile, so you set it up once and use it in every campaign you work on.

  1. In your Dashboard, go to My Profile (your profile name)

  2. Click Connected apps & MCP

  3. On the Canva, Google Drive or Dropbox tile, click Connect.

You are taken to Canva, Google Drive or Dropbox to sign in (if you aren't already) and approve the access. Walls.io Echo only asks to read your designs and files — it never changes or deletes anything in your connected account. After approving, you land back in Walls.io Echo with the tile showing Connected.

You can also connect directly from a campaign: if your preferred service isn't connected yet, you can start the connection right from the add "Add Visual" dialogue (see below).

Importing a design into a campaign

  1. Open your campaign and go to the Sharing tab.

  2. Click Add Visual.

  3. In popup, click Import from Canva.

A picker opens with your available designs, newest first. Use the search field to find a design by name, and scroll to load more. The picker also allows you to navigate the folder structure of the connected service.

Click the design you want. Walls.io Echo exports it from the conneted service in high resolution and adds it to your campaign as a new sharing visual.

The imported design becomes a regular sharing visual: you can position the name, role, custom fields, and profile picture on it in the template editor, give it its own sharing URL and text, and reorder it among your other visuals. A campaign holds up to 10 sharing visuals, so you can mix imported visuals with uploads and AI-generated images freely.

⚠️ Please note: An import copies the design as it looks at that moment. If you change the design in Canva, Google Drice or Dropbox afterwards, the visual in your campaign keeps the version you imported — simply import the design again to bring in the newer look, and delete the outdated visual.

Disconnecting

To disconnect, go to My Profile → Connected apps & MCP and click Disconnect on the service's tile. Walls.io Echo immediately deletes its access credentials for the connected account. Visuals you already imported stay in your campaigns — disconnecting only removes the connection, never your content. You can reconnect at any time.

Good to know

  • The Canva, Google Drive or Dropbox connection is personal: each team member connects their own Canva account and sees their own design library.

  • Imports arrive as high-resolution PNG images, ready for sharing on every platform.

  • Should an import ever fail (for example a very large design timing out), nothing is left behind in your campaign — just try again.
