Add your Google Analytics Tag ID

To track the visits to your social wall, you first need to add your Google Measurement ID to the social wall's settings.

Go to Settings > Privacy & Tracking, enable Google Analytics tracking, and add your Google Analytics Measurement ID.

If you need help finding your Google Measurement ID, check out this article from Google.

Find your social wall's traffic stats in GA4

To immediately check if your Measurement ID records visits in GA4, look at the Realtime view and check the "Views by Page title and screen name."

The traffic to your social wall (embedded and stand-alone view) will be visible in your GA4 account. To do so, go to "Library" and then "Create a new report," where you choose a "detailed report."

After, you can select templates for this report, and we recommend using "Pages and screens" as a template.

On the right-hand side of the screen, you will see the "Customize Report" form where we should select "Add filter".

After you select "Page path and screen class" as Dimension and "contains" as Match Type we highly recommend inserting values after slash (/) from the URL of your social wall (e.g. for social wall https://my.walls.io/hippobaby we insert "hippobaby" as Value.

Suppose you want to see all the traffic, including the clicks on the detail view for the posts on your social wall. Build a filter by selecting "Hostname" and picking "my.walls.io" from the "Dimension values" list or typing it in.
