With Walls.io, you can automatically import new events, attendees, or new sales from XING Events onto your Wall. It's easy to achieve this with our Zapier integration. This step-by-step guide explains how it's done.
β
βπ¨ Important: This integration requires access to the Walls.io API, which can be purchased as an add-on for all plans. API access is also included in our Enterprise plans and some legacy plans.
1. Sign in to your XING Events account
To get started, sign in to your XING Events account if you haven't already.
2. Create an Event and set it to active
Create an event and make sure that it's set to active.
3. Enable API access for your Wall
Log in to your Walls.io account and go to Settings > API and activate the access token: π
β
4. Sign in and Connect Your XING Events account
In Zapier, start to create your "Zap" by clicking "Make a Zap" (a Zap is a kind of "recipe" that will connect two apps, in our case XING Events and Walls.io). Enter a name for your Zap, i.e. "XING Events to Walls.io". Choose XING Events for the trigger app and "New Attendee" as the trigger event to display all new attendees on your Wall: π
β
βοΈPlease note: It's necessary to have at least one attendee in order to establish a proper connection between XING Events & Zapier.
β
Then, sign in to your XING Events account: π
You'll see a new window where you can insert the API Key of your XING Events account. You can find these data in your XING Events account under Your Account > API Key
: π
β
Copy the API Key and insert it into the API Key
field on Zapier: π
Next, click "Yes, Continue" and then click "Continue":π
Afterwards, click "Test trigger" and "Continue".
β
5. Choose "Walls.io" for the Action
Next, we're going to set up the Zapier action. Choose Walls.io for the app event and "Create Post" as the Action event: π
β
6. Sign in to Walls.io
Afterwards, connect your Walls.io account this way: π
Click "Choose an account" and then, click "Connect a new account"
You'll see a new window where you can insert the API access token of your social Wall. Copy the API access token of your Wall from step 3 and paste it into the Access Token field:
7. Setup the Action
Next, set up the Zapier action by selecting First Name:...
and Last Name:...
, Email:...
and Event Title:...
for the Text
field. Make sure to fill out the required User Name
field with First Name:...
and Last Name:...
:π
β
Select "True" for "Moderation Status" if you want to set your wall to Automatic Moderation. If you prefer to have Manual Moderation (=approve each post manually before it gets displayed on your social Wall), select "False".
β
10. Test your Zap and turn it on!
Finally, test your Zap and turn it on! π
11. Try out other triggers!
In this example, we've used the trigger "New attendee" to display all new attendees on your Wall. The XING Events app on Zapier also offers other triggers, like "New Events" and "New Sales". You can find it here!
