With Walls.io, you can automatically import data from any Typeform onto your Wall. It's easy to achieve this with our Zapier integration. This step-by-step guide explains how it's done.
โ
โ๐จ Important: This integration requires access to the Walls.io API, which can be purchased as an add-on for all plans. API access is also included in our Enterprise plans and some legacy plans.
1. Sign in to your Typeform account
To get started, sign in to your Typeform account if you haven't already.
2. Create a new Form in your Typeform and add at least 1 long text field or 1 upload file field.
Create a new Form in your Typeform. Then, add some fields we will use later to populate our Native post. In our example, we added a short text field, where we will ask the user his name, and a long text field, which we will use as a caption for the Native post.
โ
โ๏ธPlease note: It is necessary to add at least 1 long text field or 1 upload file field.
This is because to populate the Native post, you must insert at least some text in the "text' field or an image in the "image' field.
3. Enable API access for your Wall
Log in to your Walls.io account and go to Settings > API and activate the access token: ๐
โ
4. Sign in and Connect Typeform
In Zapier, start to create your "Zap" by clicking "Make a Zap" (a Zap is kind of a "recipe" that will connect two apps, in our case Typeform and Walls.io). Enter a name for your Zap, i.e. "Typeform to Walls.io". Choose Typeform for the trigger app and "New Entry" as the trigger event: ๐
Then, choose your Typeform account and click "Continue". You'll have to "Sign in to Typeform" if this is your first Zap using Typeform:๐
5. Choose the Typeform form to watch for new data
Next, set up the trigger by selecting the form you've created in step 2๐
โ
Afterward, click "Test trigger": ๐
And then click "Continue with selected record": ๐
6. Choose "Walls.io" for the Action
Next, we're going to set up the Zapier action. Choose Walls.io for the app event and "Create Post" as the Action event:
7. Sign in to Walls.io
Afterward, connect your Walls.io account this way: ๐
Click "Choose an account" and then click "Connect a new account"
You'll see a new window where you can insert the API access token of your social Wall. Copy the API access token of your Wall from step 3 and paste it into the Access Token field:
9. Set up the Action
Next, set up the action by selecting appropriate options for the fields, i.e. "Write something" for the Text field, "What is your name" for the required User Name field๐ If you do not want to show the username on your wall, you can permanently hide it with a custom CSS snippet, which you can find in this article.
Select "True" for "Moderation Status" to set your wall to Automatic Moderation. If you prefer to have Manual Moderation (=approve each post manually before it gets displayed on your social Wall), select "False".
10. Test your Zap and turn it on
Finally, test your Zap and turn it on:๐
