Supported LinkedIn sources in Walls.io:

šŸ”Ž Currently, the LinkedIn API does not support mentions.

Adding a LinkedIn hashtag or keyword source

šŸ”Ž Please note: Keyword or Hashtag is currently a beta feature. Content update intervals may vary depending on the volume of posts delivered.

To add a LinkedIn hashtag or keyword source, go to Setup > Sources in your Walls.io dashboard and select the LinkedIn icon.

In the dialog that opens, you can select the types of LinkedIn sources you'd like to connect.

To begin adding your keywords, click on "Keyword or Hashtag".

1. Type the hashtag or keyword in the field.

2. Click "Add".

You can also choose to "Apply additional filters" by toggling the button:

You can add multiple filters in the field marked with an arrow to specify exactly which posts Walls.io should fetch for. Read more about source filters and how they work here.

āš ļø When adding a new hashtag source for LinkedIn, we can only fetch the most recent 50 posts published. Once the source is added, we can of course collect (& keep) all future posts, so this limitation is only relevant when starting with a new hashtag/wall.

If you don't have a social wall yet, it's time to create one!

Adding your LinkedIn company, organization, or university page

To add your LinkedIn company, organization, or school page as a source to your social wall, you first need to officially authorize the connection between your LinkedIn account and Walls.io.

Though we are able to fetch a few starter posts without the authorization, you must make the connection in order to have continuous, regular posts on your social wall. This standard is the result of LinkedIn's third-party application rules, where you will be prompted to login to the LinkedIn account.

1. After adding your company account, you will see the above warning message. Click "Connect" to begin the authorization.

2. In the pop-up that opens, enter your login details and click "Sign in".

āš ļø This is a one-time sign in and we don’t store any of your login credentials.

3. You may be prompted to authorize the connection by clicking "Allow".

You will be redirected back to Walls.io and posts will start fetching automatically.

šŸ”Ž Since you have already authorized the connection, all other company/university profiles that you add to your list of sources will not need to go through this process again.

Adding a LinkedIn personal profile

šŸ”Ž Please note: Profile is currently a beta feature. Content update intervals may vary depending on the volume of posts delivered.

Using LinkedIn profiles, you can fetch posts directly from your organization’s C-level, thought leaders, and event speakers without having to rely on them using the correct hashtags. This is especially useful for event management, so that you can have a curated feed of keynote speakers and panelists before, during, and after the event.

To begin, click on "Profile".

1. Type the user profile in the field or enter the profile URL.

2. Click "Add".

You can also choose to "Apply additional filters" by toggling the button:

You can add multiple filters in the field marked with an arrow to specify exactly which posts Walls.io should fetch for. Read more about source filters and how they work here.
