BrightSign is a market leader in digital signage solutions offering a broad range of player devices, authoring- and distribution solutions.

💡 BrightSign offers different tools to create content for your BrightSign players. BrightAuthor:connected is available for Windows & Mac, while BrightAuthor is Windows-only. Both are available for download at https://www.brightsign.biz/downloads/.

Our ongoing partnership with BrightSign ensures the best compatibility of all BrightSign players offering HTML5 Support (at the day of publishing, all available models include HTML5 – see comparison chart).

To get you started, here’s a quick overview.

1. Sign up at Walls.io & set up your social wall

To get started, sign up for a Walls.io trial. Setting up your social wall is fairly easy - connect your social media accounts and start adding sources – i.e. hashtags around your brand and products, or your owned social media accounts. For further information, check out our tutorial or watch the video below!

2. Copy the link to your Walls.io social wall

In your Walls.io account, click View wall and copy the link to your wall (f.e. https://my.walls.io/starbucks).

Using Walls.io with BrightAuthor:connected

1. In BrightAuthor:connected, create a New Presentation.

2. The easiest way is to create a "Single Zone" presentation with "HTML".

3. Name the presentation and paste the Wall URL.

4. Click Publish - select the player(s), pick the presentation, click Active All day, every day.

After a few seconds, the presentation will be displayed on the selected player(s)!

Note: in the screenshots above, we've been using the Local Content setting to transfer the presentation to the player(s) over the local network. The same process applies when using the BSN.cloud network to control your players!

For detailed instructions on how to set-up your BrightSign player network, please refer to the BrightSign documentation and help center.

Using Walls.io with BrightAuthor (Windows)

1. In BrightAuthor, create a new Presentation—In the Media Library, look out for the HTML5 element and drag & drop it to the playlist timeline.

If this is the first time adding HTML5 content to your playlist, you'll be asked to Add a site – just enter the HTML Site Name (f.e. "Walls.io") and the URL of your wall (f.e. https://my.walls.io/starbucks).

2. In the next step, make sure to check Enable external data.

Done! You can now Publish the presentation to your BrightSign players!

Hint: When using the BrightAuthor preview feature, it might happen that the wall is not displayed in the preview window (instead, a blank page is displayed). Don't worry, this is known issue if BrightAuthor – when publishing your presentation to the player, it will work just fine!

For detailed instructions on how to set-up your BrightSign player network, please refer to the BrightSign documentation and help center.
