With Walls.io, you can automatically import reviews from Google My Business onto your Wall. It's easy to achieve this with our Zapier integration. This step-by-step guide explains how it's done.
โ
โ๐จ Important: This integration requires access to the Walls.io API, which can be purchased as an add-on for all plans. API access is also included in our Enterprise plans and some legacy plans.
1. Sign in to Google My Business
To get started, sign in to your Google Business account if you haven't already. Make sure that your account is connected to your company, which is listed on Google.
2. Enable API access for your Wall
Log in to your Walls.io account and go to Settings > API and activate the access token: ๐
โ
3. Sign in and Connect Your Google Business Account
In Zapier, start to create your "Zap" by clicking "Make a Zap" (a Zap is kind of a "recipe" that will connect two apps, in our case Google My Business and Walls.io). Enter a name for your Zap, i.e. "Google My Business to Walls.io". Choose Google My Business for the trigger app and "New Review" as the trigger event: ๐
โ
Then, choose your Google Business account and click "Continue". You'll have to "Sign in to Google My Business" if this is your first Zap using Google My Business: ๐
โ
5. Choose Your Business to watch for new reviews
Next, set up the trigger by selecting your company for "Location": ๐
โ
โ๏ธ In order for locations to appear, the connected Google My Business user account needs to be the Owner of the location.
โ
โ๏ธPlease note: It's necessary to have at least one review for the company you've selected in order to establish a proper connection between Google My Business & Zapier.
Afterwards, click "Test trigger" and "Continue".
โ
6. Choose "Walls.io" for the Action
Next, we're going to set up the Zapier action. Choose Walls.io for the app event and "Create Post" as the Action event: ๐
โ
7. Sign in to Walls.io
Afterwards, connect your Walls.io account this way: ๐
Click "Choose an account" and then, click "Connect a new account"
You'll see a new window where you can insert the API access token of your social Wall. Copy the API access token of your Wall from step 2 and paste it into the Access Token field:
9. Setup the Action
Next, set up the Zapier action by selecting Number Rating:..
and Comment:...
for the Text
field. Make sure to fill out the required User Name
field with Reviewer Name:...
:๐
โ
Select "True" for "Moderation Status" if you want to set your wall to Automatic Moderation. If you prefer to have Manual Moderation (=approve each post manually before it gets displayed on your social Wall), select "False".
โ
โ
10. Test your Zap and turn it on!
Finally, test your Zap and turn it on! ๐
