With Walls.io, you can automatically import new videos from Vouch onto your Wall. It's easy to achieve this with our Zapier integration. This step-by-step guide explains how it's done.
⚠️ Vouch videos cannot be played directly on your Walls.io wall at the moment. Instead, Walls.io can display the video thumbnail, the creator’s name, and a link back to the original Vouch video.
1. Sign up to Zapier
To get started, sign up with Zapier (https://zapier.com/) if you haven't already. Zapier is a marketing tool that allows you to connect hundreds of apps without coding skills. Zapier is offering free plans, so you can get started right away!
2. How to enable API access for your wall
Log in to your Walls.io account and go to Setup > API and activate the access token:
3. Create & name your Zap
In Zapier, start to create your "Zap" by clicking "Make a Zap" (a Zap is kind of a "recipe" that will connect two apps, in our case Vouch + Walls.io). Enter a name for your Zap, i.e. "Vouch to Walls.io".
4. Choose "Vouch" for the Trigger App
5. Choose "Retrieve New Vouches" as the Trigger Event
This trigger will be fired every time you receive a new Vouch response:
6. Sign in to Vouch
If this is your first Zap using Vouch, you'll have to "Sign in to Vouch" to give Zapier permission to access your Vouch account. Once you click on "Sign in to Vouch", you'll see a new window where you can insert Integration Key and API Key of your Vouch account. You can find these data in your Vouch account under Integrations > Zapier:
Copy your Vouch X-API Key and X-Integration Key and insert them into the API Key and Integration Key fields on Zapier:
Clicking "Test Trigger" will bring in the most recent Vouch response:
7. Choose "Vouch" for the Action
Next, we're going to set up our first Zapier action. Since the trigger above only delivers the ID of the video, we need to use the "Retrieve a Vouch" action to pull in the details of the video next:👇
Then, choose your Vouch account and click "Continue":
Afterwards, set up the Action for Vouch by adding Vouch.ID:... to the id field:
Next, click "Test action" and "Continue":
❗️Do NOT turn the Zap on yet!
8. Click on "+" and choose "Walls.io" for the Action
Add another Zapier action. This time, choose Walls.io for the app event and "Create Post" as the Action event:
9. Sign in to Walls.io
Afterwards, connect your Walls.io account this way:
1. Click "Choose an account" and then, click "Connect a new account".
2. You'll see a new window where you can insert the API access token of your social Wall. Copy the API access token of your Wall from step 2 and paste it into the Access Token field:
10. Set up the Action
Next, set up the Zapier action by selecting:
2.Vouch Questions Answer Contact Name:...for theUser Namefield;1.Vouch.URL:...for theLinkfield;2.Vouch.Questions.Thumbnail:...for theImagefield;
Select “True” for “Moderation Status” if you want new Vouch posts to appear automatically on your wall. This is usually the best option for trusted content sources. Select “False” if you prefer manual moderation and want to review each post before it is published.
11. How to test your Zap and turn it on
Finally, test your Zap and turn it on:👇
