Enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

How to secure your Walls.io account with 2FA

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your Walls.io account. Even if your password is compromised, 2FA prevents unauthorized access by requiring a one-time code from your phone every time you log in.

💡 Before you start, install an authenticator app on your phone. Walls.io supports any standard authentication app, here are a few we recommend:

How to enable 2FA for your Walls.io account

To enable 2FA, go to your profile settings and switch to the "Security" section (https://app.walls.io/me#security):

Click "Enable 2FA" and go to the authentication process:

Open your authenticator app and scan the QR code shown on screen. If you prefer, you can manually enter the alphanumeric code displayed instead. After successfully scanning the code, your authenticator app will list Walls.io and provide a 6-digit code valid for 30 seconds (after that, a new code is generated).

Your app will show a 6-digit code valid for 30 seconds. Enter that code in the field under Step 2 and click "Confirm".

🔎 The 6-digit code refreshes every 30 seconds. If it expires before you enter it, just wait for the next one to appear.

How will enabling 2FA affect logging in to Walls.io?

After enabling 2FA for your account, you'll have to prove your identity by entering the 6-digit code every time you log in to Walls.io.

How can I restore my account, if I lost access to my 2FA application?

⚠️ If you lose access to your authenticator app, for example, if you change phones or accidentally delete the app, you won't be able to log in. Contact support@walls.io as soon as possible, and our team will help you regain access.

In case you have further questions, don't hesitate to contact the support team via chat or support@walls.io!
