Mandatory Requirements:

To start using Instagram content on your social wall, you'll need:

  • An Instagram Business account (NOT personal and NOT creator account)…

  • … that is connected to a Facebook page

  • Full access control of the Facebook page connected to the Instagram Business account

❗️ Those are strict requirements by Instagram that we can't work around!

Please note that you will be redirected to Facebook while connecting your Instagram account since Instagram and Facebook are owned by the same company and are accessed through the same API (=application programming interface for tools like ours).

How to verify if an Instagram account is a Business account?

  1. Open the Instagram app on a smartphone logged in with the account in question

  2. Go to your profile

  3. Click the hamburger menu at the top right

  4. Click the settings menu (gearwheel on the bottom right)

  5. Click the settings item "Account" and scroll down to the bottom of the page

  6. Click the account item "Switch account type" (only if it's shown there!)

  7. If you see options "Switch to Personal Account" and "Switch to Creator Account" - then it is a Business account! :)

  8. If you see options "Switch to Professional Account" or "Switch to Business Account": then it is NOT a Business account!

How to connect an Instagram Business account to a new Facebook page experience?

  1. Make sure you're logged into the Facebook page you want to connect to an Instagram Business account. You can see that in the top right corner:

  2. Click on the Profile picture of your Facebook page. Then click on "Settings & privacy":

    Next, click on "Settings":

  3. Click on "Linked accounts" on the left sidebar (

    Afterwards, click "Instagram" (or open this page: and connect your Instagram account:

    Make sure to allow essential and optional cookies while connecting your Instagram account:

You will see a green checkmark if you managed to successfully connect your Instagram account:

❗️Make sure to confirm the email address, which is connected to the Instagram business account, and to the Facebook page that is linked to the Instagram business account.

What to do if I cannot connect my Facebook page to an Instagram Business account?

1. Make sure you have full access control of the Facebook page.

❗️Only Facebook users who have gotten full control of the Facebook page or page's owner are able to connect to an Instagram Business account. You can see People with Facebook access here: (under Settings > New Pages Experience > Page Access) 👇

You can identify if the person has full control of the Facebook page if (s)he has access to Page deletion, Permissions, Content, Messages, Community activity, Ads, and Insights.

❗️If you cannot see People with Facebook access here: (under Settings > New Pages Experience > Page Access), you do NOT have full access control of the Facebook page.

2. Make sure that your Facebook page has no quality issues. You can see this here: (under Settings > New Pages Experience > Page Quality) after logging into your Facebook page:

If there are any complaints about your content, you will see them on that page and you will NOT be able to set the connection to

3. Make sure that there are no issues on the Dashboard of your Facebook page. You can access it the following way: go to your Facebook page (i.e. and click on "Manage":

Then, you'll see an overview page of your Dashboard. It looks like this one👇if there are no issues:

If your Instagram account is not properly connected to the Facebook page, you will see this on that page.

Don't forget to check the permissions on Facebook:

❗️Make sure you have granted full access rights on the Facebook Business Integrations page. Don't worry: we cannot and will never publish to your page or account.

1. Log into your Facebook account and go to the "Business integrations" page: Then, click "view and edit" on the integration.

2. Make sure you have granted us full access rights to for all relevant Facebook Pages and Instagram accounts (that you want to connect):

3. Afterwards, please try to reconnect your Instagram account(s): or

If it works - Great, the Instagram account is now connected.

❌ If this has NOT helped, please follow these steps:

1. Navigate to and remove completely from your authorized business tools

2. Go to and reconnect to Instagram and Facebook

3. When the Facebook authentication dialog appears, click on "Continue as your FB name" and in the next step, please, select the Instagram account you want to add:

4. Afterwards, please, choose the Facebook page that is connected to your Instagram account:
