Create your first Echo campaign

Learn how to create and launch an Echo campaign.

Written by Angela DaSilva

Walls.io Echo is an event promotional tool that enables attendees, speakers, sponsors, and community members to spread the word about your event using organic peer-to-peer reach. You give them one sharing link, and they can post a personalized, branded social tile to their networks across LinkedIn, X, Instagram, WhatsApp, and more, in just a few clicks.

Before getting started, check out this article to learn which assets (a visual sharing card, a sharing text, etc. ) you need to prepare for the campaign.

🎥 Set up an Echo campaign in 9 minutes

In this Quick Start Guide tutorial, learn how to create, track, and evaluate your Echo campaign.

Jump to:

From the Campaigns section, first click the button "Create Campaign" and add your details in the dialog that pops up. Click "Submit."

1. Adjust title and sharing image

🔎 Please note: Campaign settings can be adjusted at any time. Click Save changes at the bottom of the page to complete the action.

In the Edit Campaign tab, you can do the following:

  1. Edit the title, slug, and sharing URL. This URL will be attached to the caption of the post once it is shared to the network. We recommend adding your website or registration page here.

  2. Sharing image: You can upload a template that you have created in a design program. Once you have added the image, a new window will open that allows you to adjust the text fields that display on the card.

    1. Add and adjust the size/position of the profile image placeholder. When a visitor is logged in to their social media platform, their profile picture will automatically fill the placeholder.

    2. Add and adjust the size/position of the name and role. When a visitor is logged in to their social media platform, their name will automatically fill the placeholder.

    3. Add and adjust custom fields, if desired. You can add up to 3 custom fields.

    4. All elements can be turned on/off by clicking the corresponding text box.

    5. Adjust the settings of the corresponding element. You can change font, size, color, shape of profile image, and more.

  3. OR, if you would prefer to generate the visual, you can do so with our built-in AI tool.

Fill in the details pictured in the pink box. The more details and styling tips your provide, the more accurate it will be to your brand. You can continue to generate the image with more styling tips as needed.

The preview will display on the right column. Click Generate and Use image once you are satisfied with the result.

2. Sharing info

In the next section, you can define the sharing text (post caption) and which platforms you would like visitors to share to.

  1. Enter the sharing text.

  2. Create alternative sharing texts with AI: This feature will use your original sharing text and create variations of it so that there is some diversity in the posts appearing across social media.

You can add an alternative, delete a variation, edit the existing output by clicking on the individual text field, or ask the AI to regenerate another text. Click Apply to complete.

  3. Sharing platforms: All platforms are enabled by default. You can select specific platforms by enabling the toggle.

3. Language

Finally, you can adjust the language of the Echo sharing page.

The available options are: Browser-detected, English, German, French, Italian, Spanish.

🔎 Please note: Campaign settings can be adjusted at any time. Click Save changes at the bottom of the page to complete the action.

Editing Echo landing page

You can also choose to change the design of the Echo sharing page and make it more enticing to visitors. Head to Campaign > Landing Page.

  1. Upload an image or video. All videos autoplay muted and loop for creating atmosphere (event highlights, product teasers).

  2. Tint the asset with an overlay color. You can adjust the opacity and color.

  3. Hide Echo branding. By default, Echo displays a "Powered by Echo" on the landing page and CTA embed. You can opt to remove this by toggling the button.

  4. Save or delete changes.

⚠️ Please note: Keep file sizes reasonable: While videos up to 50 MB are supported, we recommend compressing the video to a smaller size so that it loads faster.

Tracking and embedding

CTA button

Walls.io Echo allows you to embed a call-to-action button on landing pages, registration pages, and invitation emails.

Conversion Tracking

With Conversion Tracking, you can attribute registrations that were made on behalf of the Echo sharing link.

Viral Tracking

The Viral Tracking feature allows you to see how an Echo campaign moves from person to person.

Social Proof

You can incentivize others to share their own Echo posts by displaying the recent shares on the landing page.

Public networks (LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram) show name and role; private shares (messaging, email) show only a first name.

UTM Parameters

While Echo does automatically add UTM parameters to the sharing URL so you can track campaign performance, you can create specific UTM values for your campaigns.

🔎 Please note: Campaign settings can be adjusted at any time. Click Save changes at the bottom of the page to complete the action.
